Those who were present for the events of Carteneau, leading up to the Seventh Umbral Calamity, will have doubtless seen the young woman alongside them - though veterans of Carteneau are seemingly few and far between.

All the same, Beau often seeks out those who are either long-term adventurers or, alternatively, have been in the military for some time. Though the topic at hand is hardly a kind one, she would be glad to confide in a kindred spirit.Such can be taken a step further if any had extensive involvement in goings on in the time before the Calamity. Beau, whilst not being quite as well known and established as she may be now, was still a prominent adventuring face - and she'd be relieved to see anyone who was remotely recognisable from those times.

One of Beau's latest ventures lies in Bozja and their resistance effort. She had been involved in a great many wars, but none properly since Carteneau. Her experience lent great merit to their cause, thus did she accept.

The story of the fate of the Leviathan's Chase is a rather well known one to those who are interested in seafaring stories. While the details might not be all too known, and most don't bring it up due to the sensitive nature of the topic, it is nonetheless an easy conversation piece for those who wish to engage with her - if they can catch her, of course.You could even be fortunate enough to convince her to have you join her crew, should you wish for a sea-faring adventure of your own - or to at least have her grant you passage to a place across the waters.

There are rumours as to what exactly happened on the day of the storm - whispers that Babs had been cursed by Leviathan themselves; or tempered, even. Implausible, given Babs was still sound of mind, but people do wonder...

Though Babs has not shared in what exactly occurred (not in its entirety, anyway), the changes to her - both physically and mentally - have been noted by a great many. Her skin turned a darker shade of blue and a being once so gentle now possessed quite the temper. Many have shrugged it off to being down to the trauma of such a catastrophic event - though those caught in her ire have sometimes spoken of something much worse. Something uncontrollable, much like the storm she found herself trapped in.

The family have their interests in a great many thing - from sponsoring Free Companies pertaining to their interests, to shifting politics, to personal funds regarding their own musings.Faewynn, though having a company of her own, is loyal to her family - and is almost always the first port of call for those who are seeking sponsorship - or favour - from the family.

Though Faewynn is far from book smart, it surprises many to hear that she is, in fact, a student of Sharlayan. In pursuit of her passion, she developed her bardic skills at a college - and the gil was convincing enough to give her a chance.

Of course, this will not come as a surprise to those who were unfortunate enough to have to handle her antics in Sharlayan - fellow scholars who, while some did share in her vibe, many found her to be a little too loud...It could not be denied, though, that she was certainly the one to bring the party - and the trouble. It's a wonder she was not excluded by the Forum... but they could not deny her ability to spin a yarn and weave a tune - though she found herself on thin ice rather consistently.

Unfortunately for him such a task did not come easy; Niklaus was a gentle heart, and his father's ambition often led the Drehers towards dark paths. Though Klaus did all he could to cease his advances, Gavyn would not relent - and such foolhardiness would cause not only Klaus' downfall, but their family's as a whole. Their family had scattered long ago, Klaus not daring to return to the home that was once his own. Though his life was far different from what he had ever known, he was eager to do right by his name - his family's name - in the hopes to repair the damage left behind by his father - and his siblings, alike.

T he events which surround the Dreher household are complex, but not for those politically inclined. An issue of ascension, most knew: Klaus' sister, in particular, was not happy with the fact that her claims were cast aside.

Klaus would insist the story to be more complicated than that, for he does love his sister - and his siblings, in fact - but the truth cannot remain hidden from prying eyes for long. Their family history ended in bloody violence; the death of their father, at the hands of his own siblings.Many wonder if Klaus ran because he, too, is guilty. Though they are quick to be cast aside as baseless accusations that Klaus frequently denies.

T he Plot & Hook is Klaus' answer to keeping himself busy, with all the time he now has. He is able to use his wealth and status, as well as his noble skills, to create for himself - and for the citizens - a solid business.

For one with much wealth, working alongside a company with much more, the place is rather quaint and charming - and complete with meeting rooms to suit the needs of any and all clientele.There are times the man himself will reach out in kind, offering invites to those who are of interest. Though the pattern of what exactly sparks his interest is a little erratic - the common thread seems to be those who, much like himself, wish to see reforms in the day-to-day lives of those inhabiting the city-states. A common cause, after all, calls for a club in which to confide and converse in.

K laus does, of course, have information on the truth of what happened the day his father passed. Such events, however, pale in comparison to that which currently ails him - and his family, to boot.

His father, hungry for power, sought to take power from the ever-hungering void - and attempted, in brokering a deal, to out-manoeuvre them. He succeeded, to a degree: trapping the souls of many denizens in large iron collars - though to use such power required one to wear it.Such was his mistake, then - for once wearing the piece, it was bound to them - the process of a soul transference taking place. Niklaus was enraged when Gavyn utilised his younger sister for this task. Foolhardy of him, perhaps, to follow in her footsteps - for something as foolish as to ensure she would not be alone in her suffering.Fighting against the voidsent that threatens to consume him is, at times, an impossible task. Though his work keeps him busy, he is intentionally seeking out someone who may be able to help him with his ailment. Cleansing may not be possible, he knows - but prolonging the inevitable? That seems much more plausible. At least, it is his hope...

T hough a great many sellsword and adventurer exist for hire in Eorzea, Valentine specialises in the fact that she will take on any role that is required of her - provided your payment is sufficient enough.

She is intimidatingly efficient when it comes to showing her credentials - from her knowledge of monsters, primals, and other paranormal entities - to her knowledge of a variety of combat styles. Whatever the job may entail, she is confident she will be able to get it done for you in a timely manner....and she cares not whether it is on the more dastardly side. One needs only find her to inquire - and she frequents bars enough to be available for a face-to-face consult.

T here is but one secret Valentine holds - and it is that which pertains to her home. She escaped from her original world, as she is running from an entity that will go to any lengths to track her down and capture her - for reasons unknown.

No small manner of voidsent are often thrown in her direction, as that which chases her has offered quite the incentive to any voidsent that is able to bring Valentine back to him alive and unharmed (they stress unharmed)....this could, of course, be turned around - for Valentine is adamant on bringing an end to the being chasing her, and is willing to parley with anyone willing to undertake the challenge with her. It is the one time her stoic nature would break; promising just about anything to someone who successfully helps her with her endeavour. Though she warns it will not be an easy task, thus does she know the payment she must give will be very steep indeed.

D eath follows her everywhere - her friends and loved ones having been taken from her far, far too soon by the very being that chases her down now. He spared her for reasons unknown, and she seeks to put her dead friends to rest.

Should she find out about individuals who are skilled in death rites and rituals, she may confide in you in a moment of sombreness the fate that befell her back home....should they be able to offer her, and the souls that linger around her, the peace that they so very much deserve - all the better. She would owe them an incredible debt. Particularly if they can aid with her pride and joy - her little brother, Cohen, who has not known peace since his untimely fall.

V alentine, for reasons not explained by her, has quite the stash of trinkets and goodies - both mundane and rather dangerous - in her possession. Though she would not necessarily part ways with them easily...

All the same, studious as she is, she would be willing to show them to any patron who was able to show their prowess with such antiques to her - both for her own understanding of what exactly she carried, as well as to aid her in her long-term goals.Should a particular relic catch your eye, she may even be willing to part ways with it - though it would not come cheap, and some things are very much so off-limits to people - regardless of their offer. Of course, it could be taken by force... or other devious means. She is well aware of the potential target she paints on her back, sharing such information.

Alaric is the owner of a pop-up bar known as Corde Rossi - or Red String. It was not his first foray into this world, but it's certainly the one that he is most known for; an ever-changing venue, offering tales and stories and magicks and trinkets. Whilst it might not be the most exciting, it certainly is the easiest method of contacting him - by either engaging him in his own business or at his current employment. He will be happy to indulge and any all curiosities that come his way - whatever their reason may be.

There exists a well-known rumour that he was once a Sharlayan scholar - a professor, even, with a promising future and a real potential to heighten himself to becoming a member of the esteemed Forum of renown...

Yet, without warning, the threads crumbled; the opportunity dwindled into nothingness - and no explanation has ever been given. To those outside of Sharlayan it may be nary a whisper. For those from there, however... it is a very well-known tale - whispers and rumours all the same. Perhaps you wish to follow the thread to its fruition by asking the man himself. Especially upon seeing the faded tattoo that sits on his cheek, bearing a remarkable semblance to an Archon's design...

It is no secret that Alaric is an eccentric individual - though those familiar with death will really see how much sentiment the man holds for it. From trinkets, to rituals, to prayers of the afterlife - it can all be seen upon him in some sense.

^The truth of the matter is - he studies it in its entirety. Necromancy; hemalurgy; hemomancy. It can be veiled, of course, with his practice of thaumaturgy - and its very close tie to Nald'thal in Ul'dah - but there is the chance to see more there than meets the initial eye. His reasons behind his studies, however, are entirely unknown. Should you find yourself wanting to delve deeper to unlock potentials perhaps thought previously hidden from you - Alaric may be the man to speak to. ^

For whatever reason, people often find themselves coming to his pop-up and revealing to him the depths of their hearts. Perhaps it is the liquor causing the lips to loosen - a common happenstance, of course, but curious all the same.

^The pop-up is a small affair - three to four guests at most - and he insists always on being the one to mix the drinks, using a unique blend of liquors few can get a line on. Surprising, though, that he always seems to know what it is they'd like - and what exactly they would like within a venue. The place is ever-changing, and though Alaric is a talented man people who have experienced his venue do often wonder... ^
